Every Field from Every Form, Grouped and Scored
This tool reads fillable and non-fillable PDF forms and extracts every field as a labeled key-value pair. It handles 13 field types: text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons, date fields, signatures, dropdown selections, and more. Fields are grouped by section (the tool identifies section breaks from headings, horizontal rules, and visual groupings). Each form gets a completeness assessment showing total fields found, fields filled, fields empty, and fields marked as required. Data quality flags catch placeholder text ("N/A," "TBD," "see attached"), inconsistent date formats, and fields that appear filled but contain only whitespace.
Government affairs specialists and compliance officers use this when processing regulatory filings, permit applications, or inspection forms that arrive as filled PDFs. Extracts what is visible in the document. Password-protected form fields cannot be read. Insurance claims adjusters use it to extract all fields from a claim form submission. Instead of reading each page and typing values into your system, you upload the form and get structured data.
Manually entering data from a 10-page government form takes 15 to 30 minutes, and missed fields mean resubmission delays. This tool handles text-based PDF forms with standard field types. Interactive PDF forms with AcroFields extract well. Scanned paper forms need OCR first (try the Scanned PDF to Text tool). Custom form layouts with unusual field positioning may not group correctly.
Common use cases
- Regulatory filing processing: extract all fields from SEC filings, state permit applications, or FCC forms for data entry into compliance systems
- Insurance claims processing: pull claimant information, incident details, and damage amounts from submitted claim forms
- HR onboarding: extract data from completed I-9s, W-4s, and benefits enrollment forms for HRIS entry
